The torchflower at start will not make any light, but if you place a light block (torch, lamps, magma block, ecc...) near it, the torchflower will absorb the light from the block, so even when you break that light block, the torchflower will still make as much light as the previous light font that was placed near the flower (kinda like what the magma block does).
It would make the torchflower more usefull and it would be great for some builds.
