In light of recent mob releases such as the frog and the sniffer there unfortunately is a slight difference in mob quality given the new animation style in conjunction with the semi-recent default texture overhaul. I do understand that animation does take a lot of time being a Digital Design graduate myself, but I would love to see an overhaul of older mob's animations to create better unity across both the look and feel of modern Minecraft. I think new walking animations for all mobs would help a lot, adding sway/bobbing to mob torsos/heads can help prevent older mobs looking lifeless in comparison to the newly implemented sniffer. For reference I suggest talking a look at how mobs have been tackled in Minecraft side releases such as Minecraft: Storymode, Minecraft: Dungeons, and the up and coming Minecraft: Legend.
I hope you take this into consideration, as I feel it will help it will help create a more coherent/immersive experience, removing the feeling that newer mobs could be from third-party mods, even when they are made in house at Mojang.
All the best.
