Replacements for the book and quill. Scrolls could have 3 pages to wright on and be crafted using 1 paper and a stick above and below the paper. Scrolls are cheaper than books and would be fun to use in unique builds. A stone tablet would also be cheap being made out of 2 cobblestone, it would only have one page but could also be placed and interacted with to use and would also rarely be found in suspicious sand. I think these would both be great for creative storytelling.
