I am aware hoglins are meant to stay in the nether, but I think there should be a way to either cure or prevent them from turning into zoglins in the overworld, but at a cost. When hoglins are cured of their zombie state they could be rendered infertile so that players can't just have a good food source to farm in the easier overworld than the harder nether.
Maybe use a weakness potion and golden apple like with villagers to cure them, or have warped fungus prevent zombification. To add to the game lore maybe that's why hoglins fear warped fungus, because it causes infertility.
An issue I see arising is why not just do this for piglins as well? Well piglin being clearly sentient, and rather brutish, they don't want to be forced to do something, so by their own decision you can't force them to consume a zombie cure.
My reasoning for this proposition, as silly as it sounds, is that hoglins look so much like boars in real life that I would like to put them in a zoo, but zoglins look too grotesque to put next to healthy animals.
