More Fruit & Crop Types (1.20)

Having more crops and fruits to farm would be good as there are many fruits and crops that originated and are a big part in certain cultures, adding more cultural diversity.

    This in itself would add more self-representation and storytelling to the game.

    Farming is not as much as a big part of the game as it should be

    we need more farming and like you get xp from making better crops

    I agree with this 100%. Minecraft is overdue for a food system overhaul.

    There needs to be more crops then the ones we currently have. Like tomatos, peanuts, or even rice. Maybe even a culinary work station which will allow us to make new food recipes.

    New biomes like an oasis biome found within deserts that have palm trees with coconuts or maybe allow us to get bananas from jungle trees.

    An extension to this idea is that maybe we should actually see the fruits on the actual leaves than have it drop with rng. Or maybe we could have both.

    Another idea is different berry types than just the sweet berry like blueberries and strawberries. Currently sweet berries are a bit generic and could encourage that all berries are safe to eat. When that is not true as there are poisonous berry types like night shade and holly berries.

    Finally give frogs a chance to drop frog legs, currently the rabbit leg is used to make the jumping potion, however I feel like it should be used to make the unobtainable in survival Luck Effect. And that frog legs give us the jump boost effect instead.

    In conclusion, please give us a food system update/overhaul.

    This would be great, shame that they aren’t adding more features to 1.20, fingers crossed something like this is in 1.21

    I totally agree! Pears, Bananas, Oranges, Strawberries, Blueberries, Corn, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Onions, Cabbage, Rice, Oats, Nuts. Definitely a lot more!
