Torchflower Ideas

Torchflowers should emit light and be able to be planted on the sides of dirt blocks, sticking upward like a torch. This would give Torchflowers more decorative uses.

  I do like this idea. Maybe they can be a seed ya plant in tilled soil and have 3 stages at which they can be harvested. stage one could be a small bud that emits a 3x3 block radius of light, Stage two would be a small stem that emits up to 5x5 block radius of light and finally the 3rd stage where it would emit a 8x8-10x10 radius of light now being in a full blossom showing it's natural beauty. Once you harvest it you can put them anywhere like on the ceiling hanging off of it like a vine to the walls and floors!

  My idea is to be able to light the torchflower with a fire as its a torch flower and for it to give off some sort of ambience a lot like how the spore blossom or the Fireflies would give off a glow and particles but for this fire to not be permanent it could simply last maybe 2 minecraft days but when it rains the flowers fire would go out. This could give a very low light level or could give a high one I thought it could be cool if it gave off a light level depending on durability and what it was lit by so lets say its lit by a lava source it will give a light level of 9 or 13 but if its given by a really weak durability flint n steel it would give off a light level of 1 or 2. I think it would be cool to give a torchflower more uses. Also I think since its ancient and it's rare to get it could be cool if it gave a function to get rid of sculk on the ground as it would slowly but surely push it out but let's say sculk tries to grow in whatever is in the torch flowers radius the sculk cant grow on,

  Had the exact same thought. It gives Domesticating Sniffers use in gathering torchflower seeds. And it allows homes/bases to have more natural decorations instead of a million torches everywhere to keep mobs away. Make the torchflower work like torches!!

  I'd love to have a plant we can have growing from walls. Besides vines and lichen there aren't any plants we can place on walls so this would be great.

  Also, their seeds look like they're hanging from a ceiling, so maybe letting us place them on ceilings (maybe even plant the seeds there?) could be good, too.
