Minecraft: Console Edition (Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U and Nintendo Switch) used to have a gamma slider, courtesy of 4J Studios.
As everyone has different monitors this helped with seeing better in dark areas, and made the overall game more vibrant and colorful than without it. Right now, Minecraft and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition do not have a gamma slider like the Console Edition. And MCBE, even though it's on console now, has a brightness slider that doesn't have the same effect as gamma by 4J Studios. This results in textures of blocks, objects and entities looking oversaturated and bland. Whereas the gamma slider improved the overall mood of the game, and made it a lot more cheery and easier on the eyes.
Not having gamma makes it harder to see on certain displays, and isn't very good for producing and sharing videos as viewers can't see them well on some mobile displays either.
That being said, my request is for Mojang to add this gamma slider (as a video setting below brightness) to both Minecraft and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Not only would it bring back Console Edition's iconic look and feel, but it's a much-needed quality-of-life feature that was missing after the launch of MCBE. I'm sure this will bring a lot of stubborn players from Console Edition to MCBE.
