Let's talk about the Cherry Blossom Biome!

There's a brand-new biome coming to Minecraft in update 1.20 - the Cherry Blossom biome. Available to try out now in Java snapshot and coming later to Bedrock preview, this biome is filled with beautiful cherry blossom trees. 

These trees come with a full wood set that is perfect for builders partial to a bit of pink, and you can even plant your own cherry blossom trees using saplings found in the biome. 

As with other 1.20 features, we're still developing and iterating on the cherry blossom biome and would love to hear general thoughts and feedback, as well as how you feel about the new wood set from a visual standpoint.

    The Cherry Grove Biome should have soft edges. Where it meets treeless biomes, the tree cover should sparse out, like jungle edge biomes. Where it's adjacent to a different biome with trees, there should be a sizeable border region where the trees mix. Cherry trees mixed in with oak, dark oak, birch or savannah trees would be even prettier than a pure pink biome. The flower cover on the ground should also mix in beautiful ways with Flower Forest biomes.

    i would love if we could get fireflies in this biome. it would really add to the atmosphere and they wouldn't need to interact with frogs at all

    I think the cherry blossom biome is too boring for such a creative biome. What about adding a 2nd type of leafs because there only is one so far and it would look cool with 2 different, but very similar looking leafs. Also the bottom of the biome is a bit empty, what about adding a 2nd flower, maybe yellow.

    An other cool thing I would DEFINITELY add is the idea of little stones in the biome. It would give the cherry blossom a relaxed ancient vibe. I sadly can not add images here but the stone could be made of cobblestone/stair/slabs, stone/stairs/slabs/brick wall ect.

    Also because the biome seems so calm, why not increase the hostile mob spawn rate.

    I think that cherry leaves texture should be redesigned because now it looks too solid, bright and unnatural compared to other textures in the game. Also flowers on it could be a bit smaller.
    The colour of grass could be changed to more brighter tone and also there could be spots of moss on ground instead of dirt sometimes.
    Also I like the idea of pink sheeps and foxes spawning in this biome. And you could add a new mob like moolip for more unique atmosphere as well as some new plants and flowers. I think that the light pink variant of common rose bush would look really cool.

    Dear Mojang Team,

    I would suggest making a new Grassblock, that is darker then the normal Grassblock.

    Because the Blossomtrees don't match with the Grass, it looks like the Trees where copy-pasted there.

    I got a idea to bring more life to cherry groves:Wisteria and Sakura trees! The wisteria trees would come from light blue to yellow to white and purple! They would have their own colors of wood types depending on their leaf colors.For the Sakura tree,they would basically be normal cherry trees,but they would be darker and the wood set would be dark pink to contrast the light pink cherry wood types. The Sakura trees would also have cherries ,which would mean that cherry trees wouldn’t have cherries. Also he cherry grove biome would be the only biome with seasons! In the fall,they would turn bright colors like red,orange,yellow, and brown.In the winter,they would be white,the spring would look normal,and the summer season would be green.This would make you come in different seasons to get different leaves.If you use a shear,or silk touch,they would drop the leaves depending on the season,and they wouldn’t change colors

    When is bedrock getting the new biome? I know it's for beta. Is android behind on updates? I want to join the beta again. Just curious if anyone know if and when it will come? Thanks

    the biome needs something like a cherry on top.

    my suggestion: moss block patches, like these from bonemealing a moss block.

    it would add an additional special thing to look for, if u dont have a need for pink stuff.

    and it  adds an extra very good fitting detail to the ground with moss carpets and azalea bushes!

    E TMB tem um fato sobre o bolo ter uma cereja no meio talvez quando fazermos o bolo poderua ter 2 tipos de bolo,com a cereja e com sem

    Se for possível? mudar a textura das folhas da árvore de cerejeira pra uma cor mais clara,e deixar a planta mais transparente igual a da vida real

    How about an ancient seed that can be found here by sniffers.
    A cherry pit which would grow into a tree with the cherry blossom logs but new leaves like azaleas did and these trees would be like mangroves in that they would have “propagules” that’s actually the cherry fruit.

    These could be crafted into cherry pits which would grow into a sapling like how torchflowers grow.

    The Cherry blossom biome should have the Pink Moolip cow from Minecraft Earth in it as it really fits with the biome. Please add it. Your updates usually have at least 3 new mobs. This update only has 2 new mobs. Add the Pink Moolip cow in the cherry blososm biome, and the update will be perfectly complete.

    please add cherries as a drop to these trees, it would only make sense if the cherry blossom trees dropped cherries, please add thank you.

    The boime idea is great but at the moment it feels like the normal plain biome with cherry trees, maybe... change the grass? Make it look different? Or maybe add in some bamboo.

    I know asking for an entire new mob type is crazy but [yokai] sounds like a great new type of mobs for this boime, maybe in the next mob vote?

    Hello!
    I would really appreciate a texture change for the logs and leaves of ther cherry blossom trees.
    The leaves look a little bit like plastic. Also a unique planks colour would be great and for the doors and trapdoors a japanese style would be awesome!

    I don't think cherry blossom forests should just be mountain biomes. Right now, they're really small because they can only generate as part of a mountain. This means that you get much less building space if you want to build withing a cherry grove, and you can't really get the feeling of being surrounded by large fields of cherry blossoms. Cherry groves can stay, but having a normal cherry forest that generates at lower altitudes would be nice.

    Also, there just isn't really enough pink, and the biome feels empty. The biome would look a lot better if there was no green in the leaves and if there were denser sheets of fallen petals all over. You could even let the player place these petal sheets on the sides of blocks so you could get a "petally" version of blocks (kinda like how sculk veins can make a "sculky" version of a block).

    Hi! I love the new cherry blossom trees, but i think the leaves are a little bit to solid. I would love if they were a little bit more lush. Thank you for creating such a cool game!

    add the moolip for the cherry blossom biome. add cherry pis. and to have a new fruit ajente so has the apple with fruit nor minecreft

    The biome is really nice and pretty; the trees, wood, flowers, grass and water color. All are perfect, although i feel it needs more to capture more interest. The trees and flowers do that successfully but I feel a recommendation of mob variants and terrain generations could add to it. The first is for the wooly cow (as well umbra for plains) to be an exclusive new addition, not a new mob per se, but a variant of a pre existing mob that has a little more to it. Another mob would be a the Red panda, it could possibly scavenge fruits off of trees, like apples off of oak, and suggestions for cherries off of cherry trees, and Bananas off of jungle trees. A minor but fun addition for the players. Some terrain generation would be small ponds and maybe some granite boulders scattered around the biome. I feel all these suggestions would add more to the biome.

    Birds like northern cardinals and blue jays live in cherry blossom forests. I think they would be a great addition to the cherry blossom. (Fun fact: The birds are attracted to the cherry blossom trees in spring. When the birds eat the blossoms excess pollen gathers on their beaks.). 

    I also think that making it so when bees collect pollen from the cherry blossom flowers they make a different type of honey. When consumed the honey would give an effect to the player. For example: strength, regeneration or no hunger (A new effect that would make it so the player doesn't lose hunger for a certain amount of time).

    Please make the stripped cherry wood look less like processed meat. When I look at it all I can think of is hotdogs or bologna.

    Other than that I'm thrilled with the biome. My favorite part is the flower carpets. I wish all flowers in the game let me control their planting density.

    Pink cherry leaves are welcome, because every other leaf block in minecraft is a near-identical green. Having more leaf variety in the future, like autumn leaves, would be wonderful. Those falling leaf effects from cherry blossom fits well with autumn leaves too.

    We're still missing green wood sets. Bamboo and azalea would've been a good candidate for green wood sets.

    Increase the bee hive spawn rate in cherry blossom biomes! They look amazing, and each cherry blossom biome should have at least one.

    Would it be possible to change the temperature of the biome because the grass looks like it’s from the plains biome

    also would it be possible to add some kind of unique mob to this biome. Any kind would do.

    How about adding the Shiro, a rare new biome to Minecraft, home to dragon warriors who primarily fight using crossbows and katanas? The Shiro is surrounded by a wooden wall made of cherry blossom wood, and has many different biomes, including snow and desert. Cherry blossoms add to the beauty of the Shiro's landscape. In the center is a giant plateau with a tall black castle containing ten towers and a throne where the leader can be found. The dragon warriors in the ten towers of the Shiro will shoot explosive arrows, which are an exclusive item that only they can use. They will also trade healing potions with the players. Dragon warriors are cloaked ninjas with colors of black, green, purple, and gold. The Shiro is a very rare biome, with only one appearing in each world. Additionally, the ender dragon pillars in the End will be updated to look like the ten towers and the castle, in a ruined state, reflecting the aftermath of past battles. Also, do not remember to add a grappling hook which can be used to pull yourself towards target blocks. :)

    i so much love this biome, it looks so beautiful… i can’t wait for it!
    but at the same time it feels maybe quite… empty? i think, it will be cool to see some structures here
    for example, what about add for example new type of village for this biome? that overgrown with different sorts of plants like vines (like english ivy) and moss…… the vines and moss I think will make good contrast with huge amount of pink color
