A cool idea but I think we may have all the wood variants we’ll ever need after 1.20!

New wood types are fun parts of each update that add variety to builds. I like the sniffer finding new decorative flowers and staying with that role. I really like when you can experience new biomes like the cherry blossom and mangrove swamp that also give you new wood. I like how Mojang is encouraging exploration and discovery in this update and hope to see them roll out future updates like this as well.

In mega taiga biomes, sniffers could find giant redwood saplings. These trees don’t have to have a new wood type, could just use mangrove logs in a 3x3 or even 6x6 (4 saplings together) trunk size, growing up to 80 blocks tall.

In prehistoric times, some trees had green diamond-scale bark and were also huge, which could be a way to bring naturally green wood to minecraft.
