My favorite game of all time is Terraria. It has so many features and, like Minecraft, I love the freedom it provides along with the vastness of the world. One thing that i think really livens up the game, even more than with Minecraft, is all the ambience within the world. In Terraria, water has ambience, animals like dolphins and Seagulls add so much life to the game, and the constant stream of hostile mobs add to this even further.
Yet, Minecraft lacks these features. And this makes the game feel very lonely. Even being near villagers and all of there obnoxious shenanigans doesn't remedy this. The game should really follow suit with Terraria, along with all the ambient mods within both games, and make the world with a more diverse array of sounds. Birds in the Jungle, animals running along the Savanna and plains, hawks in the Mesa, all new noises (and potentially mobs as well) that will give the world a less lonely and a much more enjoyable experience overall.
