So people have been hoping that the fletching table could have a use, especially for unique arrow action that could benefit players. However, As smithing templates have shown us, not everything has to be super useful. As such, the new function for the fletching table could be to customize both the shaft, the feather & even be used to tip arrows. In a fletching table, we could have our arrow be customized with potions from below, the shaft on the top, & possibly a dye for the feather on the left (simple but effective). On the left will be this GUI, whereas the right will be the arrow itself, as well as a visual indicator above it.
Shafts, the more decorative side that consist of the stick could include:
- Leather - Complete with the ability to dye them on the top left of the GUI, leather gives additional customization through dyes, which can be added to give the arrows some color.
- Iron/Gold - Want a metallic arrow with a sophisticated design? This would be one of two shafts that would change the design, but not by much. The arrow & shaft become more spear-like, sharper & more refined as it soars across the sky with grace. Thematically speaking, It'd pair well with a crossbow.
- Bone - Wanna give your friends a "bad time"? Why not switch out a stick for a bone? It's a real simple model change, but could have a neat, jagged design to go with it. You could even add coal to the top left make it a withered bone or give it a "stray" design using a bucket of powdered snow.
