Mobile Structure Vehicles

It's 2023, why don't we have structures that can be made into own personal vehicle? You could create anything to do with air, sea or land.

  There was a mod for this back in 1.8... Something similar could be in vanilla Minecraft... then again, it would be complicated, and difficult to implement (and balance)

  For example, what if you made a boat with a TNT cannon on it? if the boat was treated as an entity, then it would not work, even if the rest of the boat functioned... It would require creating a whole new type of entity (one that is made up of terrain) 

  and that is not to mention that

  a) (Implementation) how would it transition from block to entity (and back) smoothly?

  b) (Implementation)how would it snap back to the grid (smoothly)?

  c) (Balancing) What would prevent people from crafting their boat out of diamond blocks (or shulker boxes made out of diamond blocks) in order to transport them.. massive distances with practically 0 cost

   

  Also, this can sort of already be done through flying machines (build your own ride... IF YOU CAN) & different wood colors (not super custom, but two players can have visibly different boats)
