connectable rafts

We should be able to connect rafts to make bigger rafts in 1.20.

And then you could place blocks on them and stuff.

    And make long boats with banner sails.

    And rafts will be crafted with bamboo blocks instead of bamboo planks.

    I think this has some serious potential. The ability to make a personal base out on the open water. However, minecraft is all about exploring and mining. To keep with the gamnes original mechanics, may i make the following suggestions as add ons to your idea.

     1- You have a limited number of bamboo rafts that can be connected. Say.... 20-25? So you have a small base out on the ocean. 

    2- Drowned and other hostile ocean mobs can destroy your rafts after say, 6 hits.

    Every 2 hits degrades the raft and it visually shows like when you break a block. NOW, you can repair the raft base with bamboo. But since there's so much bamboo, I would suggest you need to have 4 blocks of bamboo (not sticks) to repair one hit on the raft base.

    So you need 9 bamboo sticks to make 1 block, 4 blocks to heal one hit, so you need 108 bamboo total for 12 blocks to repair a whole raft for your raft base. That's not too hard since you get so much bamboo. It also still encourages the player to have a small to decent sized land base as a back up or farm, thus still encouraging you to explore the land and underground keepign with the essence of the game.

    3- The raft base also needs some sort of anchor (perhaps made out of copper? To give copper more uses?) or else it WILL drift away. But you cannot steer or move the base once you have connected more than 2 rafts together.

    4- There should also be some sort of smaller block that shows the raft parts are connected so you can destroy it to seperate rafts.

    To the guy saying to place stuff on lily pads... I really hope you're trolling 💀 you can't place stuff on lily pads and they aren't transportation

    It should be at least 9x y14 z9 in size. It can move too.
