if gold is added as a netherite trim, it should prevent piglin attacks.

with the new addition of armour patterns, in the 1.20 snapshot 23w04a, i think its only fair, and not too game braking/over powered, to have the gold trim prevent piglin attacks. i think this is fiar due to netherites increased expense and difficulty to aquire. so the player would have to work for this upgrade. i think that this should only work for the netherite, to keep things balanced.

    well then wouldn't everyone wear the gold armor trim and no one would wear the other armor trims unless they want to be at a disadvantage? kinda ruins the customization thing

    ^But if other trims have their own benefits things should be balanced

    Maybe instead of stopping piglins it should just reduce the range of them being aggravated, like the head of the piglin, decreasing it in half so it helps but isn’t really noticeable

    Trims are cosmetic only and they will stay that way. This allows everyone to find their favourite combination without having to worry about which trim is the best.

    No, that's unbalanced as it would mean discarding gold armour's most used purpose. Trims are only meant to be cosmetic.

    If it doesn't come, I write a datapack and enter something for each species. e.g., emerald for better prices at villagers and much more.

    I think they should make it so that Netherite-trimmed Gold armor has massively increased defense and durability, like way better than iron but slightly below diamond level.
