I (and possibly many other Minecrafters) believe that the Bamboo wood set is too easy to craft, obtain and farm. With a standard tree farm, you have to access many late-game resources (and sometimes more than one Wither) to farm wood. I have no problem with this, as I believe farms should be higher up the resource tree. However, Bamboo completely outclasses all of those methods as it is very easy to farm. A solution to this is making Bamboo crafting more lifelike, as the devs did with Mud Bricks.
In real life, bamboo must be pressed into a bundle, have resin poured into it and be cured to produce wood. This would be mirrored in Minecraft with a new craft. A Slimeball in the middle of the 3x3 crafting grid and 8 Bamboo surrounding it would craft a new item: the Bamboo Bundle. The new block would also have uses in aesthetics with the texture of the current Bamboo Block.
Smelting (curing) the new block in a Furnace (not a Smoker or Blast Furnace) would output the (new) Bamboo Block, with the texture of the current Stripped Bamboo Block from drying it out. This would then craft into 2 Bamboo Planks, opening the gateway into the Bamboo Wood Set.
In conclusion, many Minecrafters think that Bamboo is a tad overpowered, and a lifelike solution would help solve this.
