Updating Player Sounds

I think that Minecraft could use an update to the sound system. It would give the game a nicer atmosphere and make it more immersive. Sounds such as better footsteps, armor on your player moving around, and sounds of your weapon would all improve the game by a lot. There are a lot of people that I know that would like to do this and that's why I think it would be a great addition to the game.
