Buildable Slimes and Magma Cubes

Similar to how we can make Snow and Iron Golems, you could also create Slimes and Magma Cubes by crafting Slime Blocks and Magma Blocks and then bringing them to life with a Pumpkin.

If you wanted to make a small Slime/Magma Cube, you'd just use a single Slime/Magma block.

A midsized one would require a cube made of 4 blocks.

A large would would require a cube of 9 blocks.

Then you'd place a Pumpkin on top of the Slime/Magma block(s) and then boom you get a Slime or Magma Cube. 

If you made a large Slime/Magma Cube, the Pumpkin will get destroyed but if you made a medium sized one, it will be wearing the Pumpkin and do more damage since it's jumping into you with a harder head.

Instead of fully spawning the Small Slime/Magma Cube get trapped inside the Pumpkin block and get released if you break the Pumpkin but if you break it with Silk Touch, it'll stay inside and you can carry them around.

    But aren't slimes and magma cubes in Minecraft hostile mobs ingame? I doubt they'd be any useful at all if we could create them with blocks you described here, especially since they are hostile and drop only slimeballs and magma drops.

    When a small Magma Cube is eaten by a Frog, it creates a Frog Light block. For that it would be useful but I see your point.

    There isn't necessarily a use for making larger Slimes. I just thought it'd be neat.

    They're not golems, they're naturally extant beings and construction doesn't apply. And they're hostile. It just doesn't make sense to "build" them. It would also be too OP for farming froglights.
