Many older hostile mobs feel similar haveing 20 health. This should be changed to make fighting many mobs feel more unique, and to follow some common game archetypes.
- Skeletons & Strays (20-->16 hearts) Sniper
Skeletons can be very difficult to fight early game, this change makes them easier to deal with and better conform to their role as a ranged attacker/ sniper who traditionally are less tanky. Hearts would also match their fragile appearance.
-Zombies, Husks & Drowned (20-->24/28 hearts) Tank
Zombies are the easiest/ least threatening mobs in the game. This change makes them slightly more threatening and have niche as an early game tank. (Baby zombies should remain at 20 hearts to account for their speed and size)
-Spiders (16-->20 hearts) Sprinter
With the above-mentioned changes to zombies and skeletons spiders would fit comfortably with 20 hearts, they would be more tanky than the sniping skeletons but have fewer hearts than zombies. The spider’s higher movement speed should warrant less harts when compared to the slow-moving zombie (Cave spiders should remain at 12 hearts to account for their poison effect and size)
-Phantom (20-->12 hearts) glass cannon
The phantom does double the damage of the zombie and is much harder to hit. This warrants less health as it is currently very powerful and extremely frustrating to deal with.
These changes will make many mobs feel more unique and greatly balance out the early game experience.
