I think you could add arms to the armor stands in the java edition where you could hold shields, swords or even other items, it doesn't seem to me to be a very complicated addition and for sure that many java edition players would love to be able to add an armor stand with arms in minecraft survival without having to resort to commands! This could be a good change for minecraft 1.20.
