The overworld has several mobs with no predators or role in Minecraft’s ecosystem. For example, cows just wander with no worries but the player, they don’t even eat grass! I think adding a new predator that would prey on all animals should be added. The fanged would be a neutral mob to players. It would have four legs and a long tail. It would be slightly shorter than the player. It would have a head with a long snout and large eyes. The inside of its mouth would have many teeth. It would have differently colored fur depending on the biome it spawned in. They would spawn in every biome with at least a moderate amount of water (so not deserts or badlands). It would spawn on land and would sneak up slowly on targets. When close enough, it would jump up 5 blocks and do 4-6 damage to the animal. It can also swim really fast and dove for fish. It would be interesting if it also occasionally drank water for detail. They would run from the player, but if attacked by a mob or the player, it would growl and aggressively charge the target until they are at least 10 blocks away. They would do different things to get food, such as attacking bees or angering silverfish to eat them. They would have 15 health and would walk at the speed of cows. However, they can dart up to player sprinting speed when chasing or being chased. While they would eat wolves, a pack of five wolves or more would instead hunt them down, so it has a predator too. It would be chased by villagers to save livestock.
