Every update that Minecraft Dungeons has I play through every level and DLC with a new character to see what changes there are. Ever since the Hidden Depths DLC was released I've noticed that the damage dealt by drowns with tridents was massive. When rooms generate with five or more trident drowns you don't stand a chance and your health is massively drained. Every time I do a new playthrough the Abyssal Monument is the only level that takes multiple attempts sometimes ever taking more than ten tries to beat. This isn't even due to the boss at the end but only the unbalanced damage of trident drowns. I believe that the damage needs to be nerfed for a more fair experience of the hidden depths DLC.
