This is a great idea, please vote for this. I have Minecraft on a Nintendo switch for some time now and have not been able to transfer my worlds from there to other bedrock devices like the PC. This will make the game more open to more users and not just ones with Realms.

This is also an issue on PS4. (maybe)

It’s even worse if you cannot use Realms Plus and your Switch fails completely before both Realms Plus and Nintendo Switch Online can both be obtained, along with linking a Microsoft Account.

this would be really helpful as i have many nostalgic, old creative worlds that i'd love to see with better framerate and render distance, as well as playing them on a much faster device.

It would also be nice if the Switch could directly have worlds from the Wii U edition transferred to it that can then be transferred elsewhere, because currently the only way of porting Wii U worlds to Bedrock is through the Legacy Console Edition, which never released physically on the Switch, and I think was available for barely a year, meaning most people simply don't have it.
