When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

filter hopper

Simply have a hopper that you can select what items are aloud to pass through.

it will use the something similar to 2 stonecutter menus put side by side, all the items in the game are on one side and no items are on the other side, then simply click witch items you want to go through the hopper and they will go to the other side of the menu. 

no longer will item sorting take hundreds of hours to set up, and millions of Redstone components; because everyone has the right to a sorted system.

 

a possible crafting recipe could be 1 hopper, and 1 phantom membrane, to create 1 filter hopper. (then the phantom could have a use!)

    Could be really awesome to get this. Currently filtering many items type require massive space amount.

    See the copper-hopper mod on modrinth for a perfect example of how this could work.  This would be an ideal addition to vanilla minecraft and work well with the new auto-crafter.
