This game mode would be the complete opposite of passive. Passive mobs do not spawn. Only hostile and neutral mobs. This would open up gameplay opportunities surrounding the lack of certain-mob drops. The default difficulty would be set on hard, and players would have to find creative new ways to obtain items. For example, in order to obtain wool/carpet for the deep dark, missions to a woodland mansion would become more common for its mass wool collection, along with occasional abandoned villages...with the lack of villagers present.
People (like me) could love the challenge in crossing the nether's lava lakes without striders, obtaining food without farm animals, and exploring this unique mode.
