The carved turnips can be combined with candles and emit same light level as the conduit. But will not be wearable when lit. His last trade will be the chiseled pumpkin. You will be able to craft it yourself, but Stingy Jack introduces it to the game.

Stingy Jack almost looks like the farmer but dirtier and filthier. He walks around at night with A carved turnip in his hand to lead the way. Mobs will tend to avoid him because of this.
