Mobs using a few more items

What if more mobs could hold and use more items? They may not necessarily spawn in with them, but if happened to pick them up, or spawned in with commands holding the item, they would actually use it. For example, an enderpearl would allow the mob to teleport, a shovel (which zombies can already spawn in with) could allow the mob do break dirt blocks, and a goat horn could alert mobs in a wide area of your presence, etc etc etc.
