Hanging Bamboo Ladders

Using bamboo instead of sticks, we can make a bamboo ladder. Not only would there be a texture difference but also the Ladders would be able to float or hang off another block!

    But this is nonsense. Wooden ladders must be able to hang down and be built up a few blocks. And the sticks are just made from bamboo.

    To avoid making them just the straight up preferable option to normal ladders, they should be rope ladders instead of pure bamboo ladders, meaning the corner items would have to be either string or vines, making them less accessible than the standard ladders in exchange for being better.

    To make sure they’re not the exact same as ladders and give more of a reason to use them, they should be one pixel thick, rather than looking flat/invisible from the side.

    I think this should just be a change to normal ladders... along with the addition of ladders for every wood type, perhaps crafted with six sticks and one plant in the middle (cause I think adding a stick for each wood type would be a little excessive, personally...).

    As much as I like the idea of more ladder variants and textures, this just calls into question the point of having this included but then again they made a reskinned boat for the sake of it with a entirely new model yet we don't have different ladder textures so take that how you will; it'd still be nice.

    make it rope instead, like bamboo and 2 string together could make a rope and it would have a similar design to scaffolding, but obviously as a rope shape instead

    It's a great idea.
    I think that we could, by a right click on a bamboo ladder, place more ladders UNDER the first ladder, as if there's no block (maybe on 5 blocks max).
    Why not make them quicker to climb ?
    And you could say that nobody is gonna use normal ladders, but bamboo is rarer add wood.

    Hanging sounds ok.  As long as the texture for this was 3d and couldnt go onto other blocks.

    I think it should work for both ladder types, but you'll be able to go through bamboo variant, like through vines, yet you can't do it through normal ladders. May be bamboo variant could also use strings in craft (6 strings and 1 bamboo in the middle, or 4 strings and 3 bamboo)?
    Also these ladders should work almost similar to scaffoldings, but vertical.

    Placing.
    Normal ladders can be placed on top side of block, and can be upscaled like scaffolding with right clicking on bottom ladder.
    Ladder have life time 2s. If you'll make ladder higher, lifetime of all these ladders will update to 2s again.
    If the placed ladder will touch a block (will be placed on the side of a block), all lower ladders won't break anymore!

    Placing of bamboo ladder.
    Bamboo ladder can't be placed on the top side of a block like normal one, because it's made with strings! Bamboo ladders can only hang down like vines.
    You can place it on the side of a block, and if you'll right click on it while holding bamboo ladder, you'll place it lower, like scaffoldings, but vise versa.

    Breaking of supporting blocks will break whole ladder, like when you break solid block under the lowest scaffolding block.

    Elle devrait faite de vignes et de bambou et faire l'épaisseur d'une trape ,sur la textue on verait vraiment des bambou et des vignes (bambou en 3d)

    I agree. Maybe it would be in the feedback post 1.20 Jungle Villages?
