In recent years of Minecraft, there has been hundreds of new items for the players to build and craft with leaving the inventory outdated. We could add 6 new inventory slots. 3 to the left and 3 to the right. They are there for extra space if the player needs it. This doesn't mean we have to add more slots to the hotbar. Also, we can make getting items from shulker boxes easier. We can do this by hovering the cursor over the shulker box. When doing so, a mini ui of the shulker box will appear where you can take out the items you need. And there should be a sort of scrolling mechanic for the off hand slot. The off hand slot could have 2 extra slots. These 3 in total off hand slots could be accessed by holding a button on the keyboard and scrolling the scrollwheel on your mouse. Things like making some non-stackable items being able to stack and finally adding the bundle can all help the inventory issue. One final idea is adding buttons to the inventory to quickly sort, stack, and insert items into a chest. The sort button can sort all items in your inventory or chest perhaps alphabetically. The stack button can automatically stack all the same items you have scattered in your inventory into one stack of 64 or other number depending on the item. The insert button can insert all items from you inventory (excluding hotbar) into the chest that is currently opened. You could also insert all items in the chest to your inventory. All of this can (for now) solve the inventory problem.
