The yellow flowers adorning an Iron Golem are, I assume, pumpkin vine flowers. In real life, these are generally pollinated by gourd bees.
I suggest there be a chance for a Bee to become enticed by an Iron Golem and to pollinate it.
If a cracked Iron Golem is pollinated, they'll be healed one stage, this could work similarly to Kintsugi in that the cracks will be filled with golden pollen.
If a whole Iron Golem is pollinated, they'll enter love mode and, assuming a second Iron Golem nearby is also in love mode, will produce an Iron Nugget Golem.
Nugget Golems will not defend the Village, however, they will interact with baby Villagers via playing tag.
These Nugget Golems could mature into Iron Golems after some time, however, I prefer to imagine they'd remain Nugget Golems indefinitely and would drop Iron Nuggets and a Poppy upon death.
This gives Bees an important role to play in Village defense, making them even more worth having close-by.
