Yes, i'd love to be able to sit on the couch with the Xbox and play the character I started on the PC.

Not sure about using weapons, but using TNT to break down certain walls to get a shortcut or secret area/encounter seems like a good middle ground.

Agree - when I got a TNT block I assumed i'd be able to use it to open up a shortcut or secret area or something. Also there's lots of 'things' around the map, but hardly any can be interacted with.
