I think it should just weaken your item's durability by 2 per second in the flame Or if it doesn't have durability destroy it after it has been in the flame for 3+ minutes

Yes. You should be able to have a mattress, pillow, bed wood type and blanket. Each able to be up to 4 of the 16 colours making (16x16x16x64x6)1.5 million, or at least I think, designs.
