I like the idea of pitchforks and clubs. Maybe the pitchfork could be a non-throwable variant of the trident that attacks in a straight line, and the club could be a low damage weapon that can stun...

3. Unarmed Skeletons spawn in Soul Sand Valley

This feels so much better and creepier than just "oh no skeletons shoot you" plus it makes it slightly easier to live in the soulsand valley.

This is an excellent idea! Quick tweaks/suggestions:Soul Bottles should be craftable but a bit expensive, and be balanced by the fact that the soul only lasts about two minutes before dissipating. ...
