At least for the enderdragon in the end, it starts playing as long as the ender dragon is still alive and in the end,if you spawn it on the overworld with ommands it won't work.Also if you respawn ...

Dogs became so fragile that in late game you can bring it with you at night or it will probably die,it's more of a burden than a help
