Why not make the enderpearl teleport give iframes? That way you can throw a pearl into an end crystal, effectively telefragging it, and thwarting the enemy's attempt to harm you.

Right on. Although I guess the thing about this is that as soon as you saw iron in tuff, or copper in granite, you'd know for sure that you found a vein...

Copper's weathering doesn't eat through it like rust on iron, though.

Wouldn't it make more sense for the villagers to expect you to pay more as someone so rich that you wear your money like armor?
