I love this idea! I live too far away to ever be able to attend Minecon to get a cape so this gives users like myself a chance to have one! I also heavily agree, it gives way more incentive to try ...

Banners on boats
Boats feel a bit bare even with the new animation and model so What about being able to add custom banners as a sort of sail?
