May I suggest instead having the resulting ore coming out in one ingot's worth of nuggets? This seems like a more reasonable solution as having the entire ingot from bits and pieces seems weird.

Ok, TheFriendlyPine, I see there's still a misunderstanding. Sand, which also exists within minecraft on it's own despite also being small individual particles, is allowed to be a block.
