I think a good way to prevent camels from becoming like horses (tamed for the advancement and then left in a barn for eternity) is to allow players to put villagers on camels. This would solve the lack of intuitive transport methods on land, as minecarts are too inflexible and expensive, while boats can’t go up even a pixel and are just too slow. The size of the camel would prevent it from getting into small spaces, so these other methods would still have to be used for the final bit of manoeuvring into small areas and won’t be completely replaced. You’d probably shift click to remove the villager from the camel, so you didn’t have to kill it.

This ability to transport villagers would encourage players to find and use camels when they want to build an iron/raid farm or a trading hall, and also creates unique storytelling opportunities, as people can add camel riding merchants to their cities, or take their villager friends on adventures with them to trade for food or arrows while out and about.

There should be some drawback to two players riding the camel since that seems a bit overpowered to dash away on a high horse that only skeletons can get you from. Perhaps it sits down more often with two players because it gets tired faster or moves a bit slower.

Camels also lack variety. Horses, Donkeys, Mules, and Llamas all have varieties and colors to them but all the Camels look the same. Why not have them have varying colors like white, yellow, brown, tan, dark brown, and albino similar to the other mounts variants?

Just for giggles, you should totally add variations in speed and such, like horses. And moods like pandas! Make it so that when a camel sits down, it bucks you off if you try to get it to move, with this event being more likely with it's personality.

i think that now camels are implemented they should have some probability to spawn with the wandering trader or change it completely instead of the llamas

    Camels should have 3D tails.

Since Camels spawn in Desert Villages, I would like to see Villagers make use out of them.

What if when fleeing from Zombies, they will attempt to seek out the nearest Camel if they are unable to reach a bed and hop on the Camel, protecting themselves from Zombies, hmm?

Camels should each have unique and different speeds, hearts and dash ability strengths like horses this could be good because right now camels feel a little slow obviously they shouldn’t be super fast but I think the variation would just make them more fun overall all other mounts (except pig, strider and idk about donkey) also have variation in some aspect so I think it would fit in with the rest of the game

To help make camels feel more fleshed out, cactus should only be used to heal them. To breed camels, you'll need to obtain fruits from the opuntia cactus, which was introduced in the badlands Biome Vote.

Carpets on camels would be a way to make their appearance more interesting(especially since they don't have an armor slot).

Despite the fact that the camel is a pretty cute mob, besides it is a good alternative horse, they need a couple more improvements for full implementation:
    1) At the moment, you can just throw a saddle on it and immediately ride, unlike horses or llamas. It seems to me that the player must first tame him by feeding him cactus/sugar cane/hay blocks. Maybe because of his size, he will require more food.
    2) It is very strange that mobs such as Endermen, Illagers and Piglins are not able to throw you off the saddle. I think we can let them do it. Or they can kill the camel first and then attack the player.
    3) A camel simply MUST be able to carry a load. It seems to me that in order to be as balanced as possible, you can allow both players to place one Bundle on it, or one player - two Bundles. On the one hand, it seems like you can carry cargo, but on the other hand, the same horse will have a full-fledged chest.
    4) I'm missing some kind of unique interaction between the player and the camel. I think it would be fun to let the players hang their banners on them.

It's been mentioned elsewhere, but when real camels walk, they step with both feet on a side. The animation should be adjusted in game to match.

I think players should have the option to put storage on the side of the camel just like donkeys and mules. This way two people could ride it without having to remove the other player. This way both of the players can access the storage and maybe there being two storage units for each player.

    Camel walk is inaccurate.

Camels walk more like giraffes instead of horses, this is called a pace.

I love them, but their humps look a bit awkward imo. I think they should be a bit wider or more of... well a hump

It would be nice if you could ram other entities with the Dashing ability and if you could improve attributes of this ability through breeding

Camels only spawning on world generation is disappointing, and will make them hard to obtain on established worlds that upgrade (especially if they have an limited world size). Please let them respawn naturally in some way.

I like how camels make cactus useful, just like how bundles make rabbit hide useful back then. Achievements are always helpful to tell players what to use to tame/breed animals. Many players don't know you can use bones to tame wolves, for example. And I wouldn't know that camels eat cactus!

I like how camels can walk over fences, and that they have two-player seat, though that feature is useless in singleplayer. Singleplayers could have that second seat be used for something else, like storage chests. Do make camels more useful; right now they're a bit too slow.

Camels should also have some drops, like leather. Horses etc have drops, and so should camels, for consistency. It's a survival game, and you do what you need to do to survive.

The desert biome still feels lazy though, and it could use an update lile palm trees, oasis, scorpions etc. Perhaps desert temple structures can be updated and can be actual dungeons. Camels could rarely spawn in deserts, instead of just one per desert village.

Slightly increase the height of the dash so that it can jump at least two blocks, since it is so tall I would expect that it could jump those.

Since when riding one you are invulnerable, a drawback should be that the camel takes damage instead, maybe having little knockback or taking half the damage players do.

Also, I might be wrong, but camels have two humps, and the ones with only one are dromedaries.

Passengers riding the camel can hold space to dash despite the fact that they're not in the front seat.

Please change camels' walk cycles to be like real life! They don't walk like most mammals, they walk with both their left legs and then both their right legs.

Got only one addition to the Camel, as the features are amazing!

That we can lead camels in a row (simillar to Llama's) but having that iconic 'Camel train' in a desert. You can then have multiple Camels in a row to take with you (perhaps the opportunity to have even more players together while the front Camel is the driver).

In real life, horses are actually very spooked by camels due to their odor. I think it would give the camels some more utility if that was implemented some how.

Camels are a great addition to minecraft but there's only one problem they should also be found in the wild in like an oasis that could be added with the camel's

The animations are too detailed for Minecraft's style.
The transition between standing and sitting should look the same as when dogs, parrots, cats and foxes sit down.
The walking animation is the same. The camel actually picks up it's feet instead of just moving them back and forth, like horses and most mobs do.

It would be cool to enable caravans using camels and llamas. If a camel or llama is on a lead, then that lead can be attached to another camel or llama. In such an arrangement, the mobs would form a single file line by each following the mob in front of it.

The player should swing right and left with the camel when riding it
