Feedback for the Sniffer mob

Currently the Sniffer in the 2022 mob vote doesn't seem mechanically useful for the player. Its decorative purpose to sniff out ancient plant seeds ARE good, but these plants need to have an extra "survival" use for players. Things like potions, equipment, crafting, etc. Right now it's "yet another useless decor mob", but it can be so much more, something that can aid the player in survival. Maybe we can also ride and build on Sniffers?

Minecraft is not just a 3D building app, it's a survival game, and we should have both aesthetics and function.

I love how large the adult Sniffers on the trailers are. We don't have many large mobs in Minecraft, and I'm hoping it can be gentle giants that can roam the overworld. But I just wish these mobs can have actual survival use.

(And mods, please stop deleting posts, giving feedback in this site is excruciatingly hard. I don't know what I did wrong, and at this point it seems impossible to use this site as deletion is arbitrary.)

    This has been a consistent problem lately. Goats give useless goat horns, glow squids give useless ink sacs. These mobs and votes would often end up disappointing. Many players aren't just builders, they play minecraft because of survival mode. They venture to caves to get stronger tools, they kill drowned to get cool tridents, they go to end cities to get shulkers and elytras. They're extrinsically motivated and would like stuff that aid in survival, and if mobs like frogs only give aesthetics, then they won't bother much.

    Right now the rascal is giving useless items as well like an iron pick, and I wish that they can give something more unique and exciting.

    Many mods like the Aether give cool new weapons and stuff that aid in survival, and bosses and challenges to use those stuff on, to get even better drops. It's not just aesthetics and gimmicks, it's tangible rewards.

    It would be great if the plant were given a use, at least. Sniffers already have the purpose of spawning these, no other way to obtain them without this mob.

    I would like to make the sniffer have a symbiotic relationship to the player to make it essential to actually work with them as opposed to just mindlessly trapping them in a box to farm seeds.

    I'm thinking the sniffer could also be used as a way to find certain biomes or slime chunks, kind of like the natures compass mod.

    Sniffers given organic materials can follow their scents to lead to player to the items respective biomes. This is a way to find skulk, slime chunks, coral, others without outside tools.

    Mojang should make different types of sniffers in different byomes

    With the sniffer should be adding leaf clover when you plant it sometimes drop four leaf clover (and be rare) you can use it to make luck potion if you drink it you will be having (fortune and looting) with power 1 or 2. I don't speak English, if I have any problem, please correct me
