you should removed chat moderation or give server owners the ability to opt out and moderate THEIR servers on their own.

Remove the chat reporting feature altogether, or make it opt in ONLY.

    1. The system itself is far too exploitable on how things can be reported. The Gaslight exploit allows malicious users to outright delete messages sent, entirely changing the context of what was sent.

    2. Server owners and staff should be responsible for moderating their own servers. They're the ones brunting the costs of maintaining the servers, and should be the ones to dictate how their server is run.

    3. Other players shouldn't be responsible for PARENTING children who wander into offensive communities, AND NEITHER SHOULD MOJANG. PARENTS should be the ones monitoring their children's activity on Minecraft servers. If PARENTS don't want their children meeting unsavory people with the Minecraft chat function, either allow an option to disable it, or give a warning sign if parental controls are turned on if it's a new server.

For an actual suggestion to REPLACE chat reporting that coincides with the last point, add a "quick chat" function that can become the only method of communication for children via parental controls.

Think Toontown Online's "Speedchat" function, where a menu of chat categories drop down to give prewritten phrases. For Minecraft, some of these phrases could be "Hi there!" "I need {amount} {item}." "I'm stuck!" "My coordinates are {x} {y} {z} in the {dimension}." "HELP!"

Give us the ability to use Java 18 with 1.19.1/2 currently if you set Java 18 it says the runtime is incompatible, when there really is no reason for us to not be able to use newer Java versions with Minecraft if we explicitly set them to.

Optional censorship on servers should be added instead of CR. If someone typed in an inappropriate word in chat, the kids on that server would have already seen that, which means they might repeat that word on another server, even if they don’t know what it means, causing more kids to see that, and just causing a chain of bans. Having censorship will allow for the account that sent the message to do minimal harm, and having it be optional means servers can adjust that if wanted. The chat reporting system should still be in for offenses, though it should be up to the server admin to decide if a report should actually be sent to the mod team and reviewed.

Game isn't updating, there's no way to force it.

Reporting should be dealt with privately and on a per-server basis. I don't believe trying to fix exploits in a clearly shoddy system should be prioritised over fixing game features that players paid for. People did not pay for their private servers to be censored and dealt with by Mojang/Microsoft.

Ok, let me be very clear here, for the Minecraft community's sake, please do NOT continue with your chat moderation policies. They are far too exploitable, and do more damage than good. If you want the people in your community to be truly safe, or if you even care about us at all, then please, just remove the moderation. We really don't need it, since we literally handled our own servers better than your "highly trained moderation team." Microsoft as a company has ruined many games for it's community, please don't ruin Minecraft too. We can handle ourselves. We don't need YOUR help running OUR servers. Plus, you had previously stated that Java would "stay the same," and this is a major, and horrible change. If you truly want Minecraft to be a safe place, then get rid of your "moderation team," so we as players can stop being scared of being banned for the slightest things, because I don't think being afraid of losing your account is very "safe."

Minecraft 1.20 will save Minecraft but because of bugs and 1.19.1, Minecraft will shut down in July 7, 2023. #RIP MINECRAFT AND TECHNOBLADE

I'm not gonna what has already been said in these past few snapshots other than this.

Remove chat reporting or make it a purely optional, opt-in feature.

Listen to the community feedback that you are asking for, and put it to use.

Can't wait for Minecraft to die horribly in the next couple of updates with this chat moderation, 100% gonna see a huge drop in players and sales if it's possible to get perma-banned from servers.
