Cave Maps and cartographers table in a mine cart

As caves can be expansive being able to mad out caves would be fantastic. The play would have the opportunity to map out a cave they've explored. a player could add a cartographers table to a mine cart and paper to create a cave map. the map would be used like a normal map

  So would it just fill out all caves nearby? How does it show overlapping caves? In different shades/colors?

  It would fill out as you explore the cave. Not every surrounding cave. Just what you explore.

  Map would only map out what you explore. You would need to create a new map for every cave.
