Bedrock realms should allow longer names (as was supported previously)
What do I want to see done?
Bedrock realm names allowing more characters (~50 characters, at least)
Why do I want it?
This used to be allowed, such as I had a server name like "S&C Family Realm 1.18". However, attempting to update the name from 1.18 to 1.19, it said that the name wasn't valid. Clearly, it used to be valid to have longer names prior to this point and it seems like the current limit is 12 characters, which is hard to allow for a descriptive enough name.
How would I want it changed?
I would have it capped at a (still fairly short) length of 50 characters, which should be plenty of space to make for a descriptive name without resorting to crunching things and abbreviating them because what you want to name it doesn't work.
At the very least, I noticed that all it says about the restriction is that the name isn't allowed. It doesn't explain what the restrictions are on the page where you enter the name and the only message you get for it not being valid is that it isn't valid--no other indication of what it actually failed on. I was guessing that it was special characters but removing all special characters from the name wasn't working, either. It wasn't until I named it to something short but relatively meaningless ("Realm 1_19") when I found out about the length being the reason for it.
Please, the realm name situation is really bad right now. I got it to work for now but would appreciate it if I could name it better.
