    Let's get the bad stuff out first:
    -fireflies should be a decorative mob  like fish that you can put in bottles
    -birch forests don't necessarly need much of an update,just making the trees bigger would do wonders (could be great for all forests actually)
    Ok now for the good stuff:
    -frogs are very derpy and cute :D
    -the mangrove swamp is one of the best looking biomes in the game and I hope that all of the biomes will have this unique feel to them
    -chest boats are great for early transportation
    -the deep dark is a very cool biome,but it would benefit from a reason to explore them other than the ancient cities (I really liked the idea of fossils,maybe higher chance for the diamond variant?)
    -the ancient city loot is almost perfect,I think it should be able to contain all types or armor and not just leggings 

    -one more change to the warden that I think would be great is that the protection enchantment shouldn't effect the damage the ranged attack does

    -the allays are great,but still need a few tweaks with the pathfinding (maybe make them locate the player faster)

    -I think a lot of parity features could really improve the game and make it more "wild" (fallen logs,snowy leaves etc.)
    -the big portal in the ancient cities should do something

    I've been testing the changes to iron golems and despite it does not affect the amount of iron you can get in an iron farm, it cause that iron golems can spawn in blocks like glass and string even if they didnt can in 1.18.2. This may result in problems designing and decorating iron farms in 1.19. 

    Everything else in the snapshot is great

    Can you sort out caves like this datapack does better cave gen that adds new cave biome kinda bland

    u should add the fireflies, even if it is just a decorative mob, like bats or polarbears

    I’d simply recommend a rename of the update, or a clarification that this is less of a particularly nature based update in terms of the biomes, and more of an update adding darkness and murky styled things to the game for diversity. I’m beyond sure you’ve seen one million firefly comments, but in truth it’s more symbolic of a general consensus on how this update wasn't about the nature and biomes, and is actually focused on the deep dark, with a couple touches from a new tree & frogs.

    The chat preview is a great idea!

    If chat messages are being sent to the server as they are typed, like commands, could the server send back tab complete lists as well?

    For example, a server owner could set up a list of emojis as text, so a player can start typing the name of the emoji, and then select the correct one with the arrow keys, and press tab to complete typing.

    That millions of firefly comments is people actually wanting the firefly. Something simple like firefly particle effects on swamps and mangroves add SO MUCH to the game, ambience is something that this game really needs.

    It's very strange that Mojang is so fixated on fireflies needing to have a use (fireflies in bottles can provide that). But when Mojang tries to give something a use, like echo shards and goat horns, it usually ends up as useless collectibles.

    Please stop being so scared of fireflies being poisonous to frogs, just prevent frogs from eating them. Please stop trying to teach kids, this isn't minecraft education edition. These beliefs are really suffocating minecraft's potential. I play bedrock edition so I don't have access to mods...

    While I'm against toxic people complaining about the update, I'm also against the idea of grouping all criticism into "haters". There's a lot of people who are passionate about Minecraft & cares about its growth.

    Bug fixes are important & it's an understandable reason why updates are slow. But I feel like there's a Minecraft vanilla formula that's hindering the game's growth too much. Everything needs to fit perfectly into the game, graphics need to be iconic, there's a lot of back-and-forth before ideas are made, and somehow it needs to be kid-friendly, teaching kids that fireflies are bad to frogs, etc.

    I feel like Mojang is too afraid of making big changes, afraid of "copying from modders". We can't have epic legendary gear from ancient cities, as music discs are a "smaller and more vanilla friendly" update. This greatly hinders Minecraft's growth. Additions need to fit into animated trailers too, which further inhibits new ideas.

    If this keeps up they'll eventually lose to competitors like Hytale, which has no problems adding what players have always wanted. They don't care about being a PETA education game, a hyper realistic game, or a game hindered by arbitrary rules like "inhibiting creativity", they just want to make a fun fantasy survival game.

    I think fireflies should be added as simple particle effects in swamps, players have taken a liking to the two-pixel bug ever since the reveal. Having said that, I'm still gonna thank the devs for all the hard work!

    can you explain why so much was dropped I get 1.20 is likely to be big as 20 versions is a big thing if that’s why you Are reducing unneeded stuff just say that

    - biomes can be revamp by adding more variant such as old growth variant. Eg: old growth jungle, jungle that has many layers of log, more dense without much update.

    - revamp and adding more terrain feature will be a advantage in the wild update. Eg, arches, a feature that generate in exclusive area such as badlands, desert, windswept hills, and maybe mountains. It can also generate in the middle of a river, creating bridges. The second thing that can change is  ice spikes. It can be revamped by using shifted noise on them. While eroded badlands can generate more larger and higher.

    - The frozen ocean is an exception, the iceberg can generate in any size and height, which it can even reach Y260. So, it is the only ocean biome that generate caves above sea, which only mainly ice.

    - Then, the mossy boulders generate in old growth taigas biome can be further change by increases it's size. It also should contain one or two ore inside.

    - The next feature that can be added is cliffs which generate in tall hills and mountains. It can help to expand the important uses of ladder. It  has flat face in some area, posing hazard to players

    - valley can be added where biome can generate on the side of the cliff. Eg, grove generate bottom of mountain peaks as a plateaus, forest generate in the middle of a cliff as a plateau or bellow of a cliff.

    - aquifer can generate in the middle mountains as craters which similar to springs in lush caves.

    - mist, a type of air that appear in cold biomes that reduce visibility, should be added

    - maybe new waterfall variant

    - egg should can placed as a block similar to turtle egg, and should born as chick before turning into chicken.

    - try improve water animation.
