Different Biomes Give off Different Effects:

It would be similar to the nether biomes, but in the overworld. You would be able to turn it off or on in the settings, and it would add an extra atmosphere or challenge to existing biomes.

Apparently your post gets removed for adding lists of ideas, but the only way I can make this organized is by adding a list, so look in the comments for the specifics. Ty!

  Here is the list!!

  -Taiga/Forest Biomes: There could be leaves that fall from trees and have a chance to fall into a leaf pile on the ground.

  -Desert Biome: There could be a new weather event known as wind storms, that blows around sand, temporarily limiting your vision.

  -Flower Field: There would be flower petals blowing in the wind along with a variety of small birds flying around and chirping. (my favorite addition)

  -Mountains: The farther you go up the mountain, the colder it gets, so the higher you go up the mountain, the edge of the screen could become more frosty. Not completely limiting your vision, but adding something extra. Also the higher up you go, the windier it gets, applying the weather event of wind storms that blows around the snow.

  -Swamps: There would be fog coating the ground that adds an extra challenge, making it more difficult to see enemies that are low to the ground such as snakes and frogs.
