Ever since tridents were added to the game when I was around a child, I always saw the trident out of place throughout the weaponry load out and the player's arsenal. Tridents should have the unique ability to always have a delayed attack when hitting an enemy melee style. I short animation should play displaying your arm yanking or slightly pulling back before jabbing your enemy. This animation should signify your opponent to block or back up because you are attacking. Since the trident can technically be obtained early game and it having an extreme melee attack power, this would make the weapon a bit more balanced instead of overpowering even a diamond sword. Every weapon in the game attacks instantly, and I propose a delay before every melee shot to increase strategy and predictability.
(This will not affect ranged attack style of the trident)
