Remove bedrock edition an put all bedrock features in java.

I dont even know why bedrock edition is a populare gamemode. It is worth more money, the performance is just streight out weird, the water graphics are the ugliest things ive ever seen, and instead of skins being free and capes be worth money, the skins are worth money and the capes are customisable and free. Not to mention the minecoin market system which i think is just outragouse. You dont need to spend more money on a game that you already bought that is like twice as expensive as the original verson. Bedrock is only as popular as java because it has these features that java doesnt have because mojang doesnt know the true meaning of parady. Like armor stands with arms for instance, or potion cauldrons. You could literally just give the features like that to java, and remove bedrock all together making mojang not have to spend too much time on updating both versons of minecraft at the same time, make them able to pump updates out faster, and java only players can have features that would just make minecraft a hundred percent better. Think mojang. Why wast time and money on just another version of the game that didnt even turn out that well like its original verson when can just stick with the original and not wast time, money, and public opinion? I think bedrock is just another way of saying expensive trash, and should be dealt with accourdingly. Sorry bedrock, but you never kept up with java.

    One of my pet peeves is that the updates take longer to make now. I know it takes a long time to code new features into the game, but mojang just makes it take longer by adding another version of the game to update. One of the only reasons bedrock is still up, is because there is an entire group of weirdos and idiots who think bedrock is better than java, just because mojang makes things in the two versions different, without even taking the time to think of the benefits of mirging the to versions and minecraft windows 10 edition to make just one perfect game that has all the features so that people dont have to pay extra money to get specific features added on to normal minecraft. Vote combined minecraft everyone!

    Okay yeah this IS a good idea

    But what about ppl who already got bedrock? What if they aren't allowed to rebuy Minecraft? Should they just suck it up & get a new fav game or would Mojang refund them or give them java? Like you said bedrock is popular, so many people would be upset. :p

    What i was thinking was that instead of having different versions with different features, we could have just one minecraft playable on all platforms, with all the features combined, eccept it's gameplay system will mainly be based off of java edition as it was the original version. This would make parity unnessisary, and would make less people angry about how minecraft features they like are on platforms they dont like or dont play, because different platforms wont even exist. Then all people can see eye to eye, and minecraft will crank minecraft updates out way faster.

    Not exactly how that works. Java and Bedrock are written in different coding languages. You can’t just get rid of Bedrock and release Java for all the Bedrock devices. That would take serious reworking of the game as a whole.

    Honestly you guys are right. I mainly just wanted to do this to make people who like bedrock more than java to feel like idiots, because java, being the original and better version is right before their eyes with better graphics and gameplay. But to be fair, if mojang didnt think about huge things that were suggested in this post, then you wouldnt be seeing this, so there is a possability that the minecraft platform system could be changed forever.

    Fortnately this will never happen. If minecraft decide to kill a version maybe it will be the Java version and not the bedrock :)

    as much as i agree, its impossible to play any java made games on windows 11, ps4, xbox, nintendo, and mobile. i only play on ps4 because i dont have access to a pc at the moment, otherwise, i would go straight to java as most of my friends use java and its easier to join servers etc. but i cant because i dont have access to a pc. that being said, if i can play minecraft on anything, let it be a phone or a console, i will play because of how fun minecraft is.

    (i feel like that made no sense, but basically, bedrock is essential for some players)

    Firstly, mojang would never do this because as you already mentioned, they make a lot more money off bedrock and this will be extremely unfair to bedrock players and marketplace content creators. It would be better for them to just combine the two versions and make one minecraft for all players irrespective of the device they play it on but this would be extremely hard and would take a very long time

    No no no no that is not fair I am a bedrock player my self and java edition can not work on play station or mobile or Xbox and the bedrock community is big because of so many platforms to play minecraft bedrock on.

    What about console players? Bedrock is a lot better than you think because you can play from your PS4 with someone on there xbox. And what about phone players all of as bedrock players can play together no matter the platform.But its still minecraft. And how is this a party.

    No. The reason why Bedrock exists is becuase not all platforms can run Java and are closed sourced. Also this post would be like if I made a post to dissolve Java and put all the exclusives onto Bedrock.

    Also Bedrock is more popular because its on literally everything.

    Also not all versions are more expensive than Java, mobile is 7$.
