Remove the 30 day name change cooldown

The name change cooldown has no reason to exist. Literally every other platform that lets you change username, lets you do it as much as you want. The only counter-argument I can see is "Well I won't be able to recognize my friends if they constantly change their username", but platforms like Steam exist and let their users change their usernames as much as they want.

    I'd like to give my feedback on this.

    One issue that may arise of allowing people to change their usernames without cool-down is it grants power to malicious users of it. Hackers on servers or rule-breakers will be hard to catch as their identity is constantly changing. As you mentioned too, keeping track of friends will be difficult as well.

    Just in general, preserving the identity of a player will be challenging if said player is able to modify their username at will whenever without cool-down. It'll just be chaotic, is all.

    With Microsoft accounts becoming mandatory, it would make since to have a system where two names are available, one for your Xbox account name, and one for your Minecraft in game name. This would also open up the possibility of having two people with the same nickname, but a differentiation using a second name on a new profile system or after their nickname in the tab menu.

    Perhaps even a system where uuid's are customizable like your real name, and visible in game under your name.

    Mojang could also go the rout of integrating a friend system similar to bedrock, so changing your account name will not cause you to loose your connections to other players.

    I feel Minecraft is due an overall overhaul to the multiplayer system, primarily in the field of adding features like friending and faster name changing.

    Instead of removing it completely I'd say it would be a better idea to reduce it from 30 to a shorter period of time, a fair amount of time I would think would be 14 days (2 weeks).

    Indeed. Recently I changed my Java Minecraft username to "ItsAFoxInABox" but literally yesterday I got banned for 2 days for "staff impersonation" because there was a staff member called "vvoxl" aka Fox, although literally, everyone knew ItsAFoxInABox was NOT vvoxl's alt or connected to vvoxl whatsoever, and since I changed it about 13 or so days ago, I have to wait 17 days til I can! I feel it unfair, especially when I feel vvoxl and I was on generally good terms. 

    I agree with one of the users below's comments, how since your Xbox Gamertag is different it won't really matter. Of course, I do agree also with the fact that changing usernames constantly would be a hassle, but honestly, most people might just change it because they HAVE to. Shortening the time limit to yes, 2 weeks would be a big relief, and maybe if for security and hassle you could have a subtitle underneath or something that says "previously known as so and so."

    Remove hacks or hack clients and if anyone is coming with hacks just Remove the hacks and do not ban them and do not remove vape lite or vape v4 and remove the cooldown please

    Agree 300% At least make it shorter, say 10-15 days. 30 days is painfully painful accompanied with even more pain. Pain in the ass. Painful.  Yeah bye

    I created My minecraft ac with a reali bad name first I didint now what what ment because I am Europian and We dont have it. So I played 3 days hypixel and I got blocked because It was offensive. And I cant change It for 20 days.

    At least add a undo duration where you can revert back to your original name if you aren't happy with your decision
