Ender-quests and End Quest Givers.

A short, scarred, and eye-patched enderman gives quests to the player to get blocks, items, and other miscellaneous things in trade for stuff that it thinks a human would like in return. 

This could be cool for an end update because if end villages became a thing. The overworld has villagers, human occupants who trade goods and emeralds, making them quite intelligent. The Nether has Piglins, a less intelligent creature who likes how shiny and pretty the gold is, and gives you whatever they have in return for it. With this progression in mind, the end’s inhabitants should be very intelligent, making use of what you want or need, to get them stuff.
