To me right now, the Riptide enchantment sucks at anything other than mobility for the trident. I get that this may be intentional, but I feel like it should have more of an impact in combat. The enchantment's effect literally boosts the player forward at high speeds, so it never made sense to me why the impact of hitting a mob or player with that kind of force didn't shove that mob or player back a few blocks like the punch enchantment. Hitting a player holding a shield with a trident that's enchanted with Riptide should also disable it like an axe and knock them back slightly, except for even longer since logically, it's force would be greater than the impact of an axe swing.
