Wool blocks actually block noise

Ok so you know how wool will stop noise from getting through to sculk sensors, and have you ever had a really noisy room, animal farm that just gets on your nerves. Well all you would have to do is add a wool block and it will dampen the noise. I know its a small feature but it would really help everyone who made the mistake of having a villager trading hall or over populated animal farm near their base.

    The fact that physical barriers of any type have no effect on sound in the game has always bothered me, and I think is something they should look at changing. You should not be able to hear a minecart rolling under 10 layers of solid stone, a 2 wide wooden wall should at least muffle the sound of a minecart rolling by on a sugarcane farm and animals outside. I would say sound should function similarly to how light spreads, but the lag caused by many light update blocks is already detrimental to lower end devices. However if they made it possible to change settings for this, this issue could be mitigated

    I agree, and just so builders and redstoners can still build with wool as they have before, why not wool bales? Craft 2 x 2 of a wool type to get a wool bale of a matching type.

    I think mineral wool should be added instead of this suggestion. Wool is a great building block, so I think some people might not like this.
    Thanks for coming up with this, though. Even though I saw a tiny problem with your suggestion, you still came up with maybe the first idea of a soundproofing block, and if we all encourage the Minecraft community to come up with ideas for sound insulation, you might be the one who fixes the problem with loud animal farms.

    My dumb as thought this was already a feature and encased a 20x20x20 cube with all animal farms with wool. Lol ! It should have been how wool works with the recent update!

    I think this is a great idea, in fact I was surprised when I tried encasing a chicken farm in wool and it did nothing.  I agree that there may need to be a new block, perhaps an insulation block that could be crafted using wool and something like paper
