When using /fill for the first time, the world became non interactable and chat froze for about 1 minute before the world resumed. After switching to a different world, the game started hitching every couple seconds, lowering the resolution made the screen go black and freeze for 1-2 seconds.
More details about the first world, I initially tried using /fill to fill too large of an area, but got no feedback until the world resumed. Tried using a grabbed repeating command block to replace water with air, (water couldn't be cleared from waterlogged blocks which I understand, but it also couldn't be removed from water streams, which was momentarily confusing, and caused some lag due to water being constantly removed).
In addition, I normally get around 60-70 fps with the render distance at 12 chunks, in the newest snapshot I get around 30 without lowering the render distance or resolution.
